Cover Ups

FIND THE ANSWERS on frequently asked tattoo questions

I have a tattoo I don’t like, can it be fixed or covered?

Cover ups and redo’s depend heavily on the project and how you want to fix/cover your existing tattoo. Most cover ups will need to be 2-3 times larger than your existing tattoo but there are exceptions. Fill out the client application thoroughly and make sure to add good pictures of your existing tattoo you need to cover/redo. We suggest having someone take the photo for you in some good lighting.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

If your tattoo is covered in a Tegaderm adhesive wrap we suggest keeping it on for 2-3 days. If the tegaderm is not sticking to your skin, leaking liquids, or gets an outside liquid inside of it go ahead and remove the wrap before the 2-3 days. Using the Tegaderm can shorten the overal healing time and works as a barrier for your new tattoo. When it’s time to remove the Tegaderm start at the top and peel down. Wash well immediately after removal, let your new tattoo dry for 5-10 minutes and then begin applying ointment to your fresh tattoo. Apply ointment to your healing tattoo 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks. We suggest using Hustle Butter ointment. A&D is a cheaper product and works well also. Do not use Neosporin or Vaseline for ointment. After the first 2 weeks switch to an unscented lotion and continue to apply to you healing tattoo 2-3 times a day. Scented lotions contain alcohol and other chemicals that may dry out your tattoo. After a month continue to put lotion on your tattoo as needed. Wash your tattoo and your hands every time you reapply ointment or lotion.

What payment methods do you accept?

We except card and cash for payment, if you’d like to tip please do so in cash. Tips are appreciated but never expected.

How much will my tattoo cost?

Price depends on the overall size and design of the tattoo. Filling out the tattoo application will be the first step to finding the price range for your tattoo project.

How long does it take a tattoo to heal?

A new tattoo will normally take 3-4weeks to fully heal. This can depend on the area of your tattoo and how well you care for it in the first 2 weeks.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Have a light meal a few hours before your appointment. Do a good hygiene routine (shower, brushing teeth, etc.) Dress comfortable taking into account where on your body you will be getting tattooed. If you’re going to be laying down you may want to bring a good pillow. Stay hydrated and bring a bottle of water.
